ProfileBorn and raised in Geelong Australia by European immigrant parents, I first became a journalist and editor, writing professionally for newspapers and magazines, before running my own family business. I’ve also been busy raising my sons, Kristofer and Matthew who are teenagers now.
I was always spiritually sensitive but didn't really have an outlet for what I felt inside so I started reading and exploring spirituality and otherworldy phenomena that I was experiencing. I had half-remembered past life flashes of myself as a priestess in a Temple in Canan, a nun in a convent, a monk in the Himalayas, spiritual midwife and herbalist who was burned at the stake for being witch and these flashes showed me that this wasn't the only life that I've had as a sacred practitioner. My soul searching became somewhat of a spiritual pilgrimage where I questioned my religion, felt myself awakening to other beliefs. I felt that there was more I could offer people than just my wordsmithing.
This spiritual pilgrimage took me through all the main religions and philosophies in a quest for truth. I studied major sacred texts, got to know the Gods and the Goddesses and cultural traditions from all the different pantheons throughout the centuries, these studies took years. I'm still learning, it’s an eternal quest.
I also had a calling to be a member of the clergy which was not possible for a family woman within the Catholic faith. Being a Priestess gives me the freedom to serve in what I do best. I moved into Civil Celebrancy after being approved by the Attorney General conducting weddings. I recently discovered that the Australian Marriage Act of 1961 binds couples, their assets and their offspring to the State (so our kids and houses can be seized at any time) under old Roman slavery laws so now I only do Common Law Marriages and I will soon be offering Ecclesiastical Matrimonies through the One-Heaven community. I do not offer Civil Weddings anymore out of principle, once I read between the lines of the Marriage Act and realised that it violated our divine human rights.
I also perform other sacred ceremonies such as Rites of Passage, for our young people moving into puberty, commitment ceremonies and renewals of vows for happy couples and naming ceremonies for babies and of course, funerals. This is my calling as a Priestess, I am here to facilitate and officiate some of the most important days of your life.
I respect and celebrate the diverse cultural and spiritual practises and traditions of your own background and aim to sensitively co-create a meaningful celebration on the day, a day where memories of a lifetime are created. In a process of getting to know you, I weave a colourful fabric combining elements of tradition, ritual, culture, music and painting pictures with words that I am famous for. It would be an absolute honour if I may be of assistance to you and yours on your special day.
